James Slinkman is Senior Vice President Associate General Counsel / Real Estate for Advocate Aurora Health located in Downers Grove, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has experience encompassing all types of real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, zoning and entitlements, real estate tax assessment and exemptions. His responsibilities include overseeing all real estate matters related to system mergers and acquisitions, physician practice acquisitions and bond financings. He also establishes system policies and procedures regarding management of real estate within Advocate Aurora and directly oversees a real estate team responsible for lease administration, real estate brokerage, appraisal services and outside real estate counsel. Advocate Aurora Health has 26 hospitals and 500 outpatient facilities located within Illinois and Wisconsin and has 5,500 employed physicians and advanced practice clinicians, 22,000 nurses and 75,000 team members.
