Speaker(s)
Description
Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a complex situation with far-reaching military, economic, humanitarian and geopolitical implications. As we are inundated with information around this crisis, clear-headed and expert analysis is more valuable than ever. Stanford Professor and Washington Post columnist Michael McFaul served as U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation from 2012 - 2014. Prior to becoming ambassador, he served for three years as the senior director for Russia and Eurasian Affairs at the National Security Council. McFaul knows Vladimir Putin as well as anyone else in the West and will share his perspective on the Russian Army's invasion of Ukraine, Putin's endgame, the U.S. and NATO response, and implications for the future.
