Matthew Tarpley is a Vice President in the New York office of H2C. Mr. Tarpley leads the execution of healthcare investment banking transactions focusing on real estate engagements, including programmatic and project-level equity and debt placements, capital alignments, recapitalizations and single-asset and portfolio monetizations. In addition, he advises on a variety of healthcare engagements including developer selections, restructurings and merger and acquisition transactions. In 2019, Mr. Tarpley was named a “Top Player in the Healthcare Real Estate Space” by Globe Street and in 2020 Connect Media recognized him as a “Commercial Real Estate Next Generation Leader.” At H2C, Mr. Tarpley has led the successful closing of over $2.0 Billion in transactions.
Prior to joining H2C, Mr. Tarpley was a Senior Analyst in the top Capital Markets group at Cushman & Wakefield focusing on Investment Sales, where he performed over a thousand valuations and assisted in the execution of 105 transactions for an aggregate value of $1.8 Billion in just under four years. There he was responsible for execution, the underwriting of a vast array of real estate backed assets and led the creation and coordination of marketing and diligence materials for engagements that were broadcast to a global investor base.
Mr. Tarpley earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Mississippi, where he graduated in three years and was a wide receiver on the football team. He played his final two years of football on full scholarship at Pace University while earning his M.S. in Finance from the Lubin School of Business. He currently serves on the Alumni Board of Real Estate at OleMiss and holds his Series 79 and 63 licenses.
