<strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Profile</span></strong>
Michael joined Destination Medical Center (DMC) in October 2021 as the Senior Director of Economic Development. In his role at DMC, Michael is responsible for building a comprehensive corporate recruitment and business marketing strategy designed to increase the level of investment made in the DMC district.
Prior to joining DMC, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer of Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah). Michael originally joined EDCUtah in 2003 as Marketing Research Manager and spent the first six years of his career in various project management and operational roles. In 2009 Michael relocated to Southern California and launched Utah’s first Proactive Recruiting initiative. Based out of Orange County, Michael spent three years leading an effort to increase the number of project inquiries coming to Utah, initially from California, and later from markets throughout the country. In 2012, Michael was recruited as Vice President of Client Services for the North Carolina-based Charlotte Regional Partnership (CRP) and spent several years supporting that organization’s corporate recruitment effort.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Utah, with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He completed an MBA at Westminster College in 2006. Michael and his wife Lindsay have two children, Charlie (9) and Hilman (7).
