As Chief Investment Officer, Steven Smith is responsible for leading the acquisition and investment efforts for NexCore Group, playing a key role in the creation of the company’s strategic initiatives, partnerships, and transactions. Steven collaborates with executive management to structure development and acquisition strategies, coupled with the sourcing of select capital relationships with both private equity and institutional investors leading to profitable ventures and long-term growth of the company.
Steven joined NexCore Group in 2021 and has more than 20 years of commercial real estate, private equity, and investment banking experience in the healthcare and alternatives investments. He has led the successful execution of over $2.5 billion in healthcare developments, acquisitions, and structured investments. Steven’s work has been recognized in the Wall Street Journal and various healthcare and real estate industry publications.
