COVID-19 has already had a profound impact on healthcare design. Overnight, healthcare spaces were re-engineered to accommodate a new patient population and to deal with upended normal patient care. New building components such as barriers between patients & staff, more robust HVAC systems, convertible rooms and telehealthcare are just a few of the transformations that have already impacted healthcare design. In this session, the panelists will share their diverse perspectives on how we continue to look for best practices and strategies in healthcare facility design that allow health systems to treat patients and keep them safe, post COVID-19.
